We are thrilled to share that Julia Bialetska, co-founder of S.Lab, is a Women TechEU winner!
Women TechEU, an EU-funded initiative, supports women-led deep-tech startups that are pushing the boundaries of innovation across Europe. This year, Julia has been recognized among the winners and will receive a €75K grant for business development, along with mentorship and support from Women TechEU.
This recognition marks a significant milestone in our journey to revolutionize packaging with sustainable, mycelium-based alternatives to polystyrene.
Supporting Female-Led Innovation in Deep Tech
As Teresa Hernandez Martin highlights, only 2% of deep-tech startups funded in Europe are female-led. At S.Lab, we are proud to break that statistic — not only is our company led by a female founder, but 80% of our team consists of women driving innovation in biotechnology and sustainability.
Winning the Women TechEU grant isn’t just about funding — it’s about recognition, visibility, and the opportunity to scale our impact. With this support from the European Commission, we will continue developing high-performance, biodegradable packaging solutions that help eliminate plastic waste.
A Future Without Waste
At S.Lab, we believe that packaging should disappear without a trace. Our mycelium-based materials are designed to replace harmful, single-use plastics while maintaining durability and functionality. This award brings us one step closer to making waste-free packaging the new standard.
Thank You, Women TechEU!
We are honored to stand alongside other visionary female founders who are shaping the future of deep tech. With programs like Women TechEU, we hope to see even more women-led startups thriving in the industry.
Follow our progress as we continue to innovate, grow, and transform the way the world thinks about packaging!
